About Us

Blue Grub Farms LLC is a Colorado limited liability company located in Aurora, Colorado. We raise and sell Black Soldier Fly Larvae (BSFL) and related products for reptile keepers, backyard poultry owners, composting enthusiasts, and sustainable living practitioners.

Products and Descriptions

We make every effort to accurately describe our products, including materials, dimensions, and intended use. Minor color variations in 3D-printed products may occur due to filament batches. Product images are representative and may not reflect exact appearance.

Prices are listed in U.S. dollars and are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to limit quantities or refuse orders at our discretion.

Orders and Payment

Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase. We reserve the right to cancel any order for reasons including pricing errors, suspected fraud, or product unavailability. If we cancel your order, you will receive a full refund to your original payment method.

Payment is processed securely through Shopify Payments. We accept major credit and debit cards.

Product Use

Our products are designed and sold for specific, intended uses:

• BSFL rearing equipment (Bin Kit, BSFL Coop, Clippie, the Grubhouse) is designed for raising Black Soldier Fly Larvae as animal feed
• Live and dried BSFL products are sold as animal feed for reptiles, fish, poultry, and other animals — not for human consumption
• Frass/soil amendment products are for horticultural use only

Blue Grub Farms is not responsible for any harm resulting from misuse of products outside their intended purpose.

Placement and Sun Exposure

BSFL rearing equipment — including the Bin Kit, the BSFL Coop, Clippie, the Grubhouse, and all 3D-printed components — is designed for use in full shade and is not intended for placement in direct sunlight. Direct sun exposure can overheat and kill a BSFL colony and can warp, deform, or otherwise damage printed and fabric components. Blue Grub Farms is not responsible for any damages — to the product, to a colony, or otherwise — caused by placing a unit in direct sunlight. Damage resulting from sun exposure is not covered by any warranty and is not eligible for refund or replacement.

Live Organisms

Live BSFL are perishable. Buyer assumes all risk associated with live organism shipments beyond what is covered by our live arrival guarantee (see Shipping Policy). It is the buyer's responsibility to confirm that receiving live insects is permitted in their state or locality before ordering.

Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including product designs, photography, written content, and branding — is the property of Blue Grub Farms LLC and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used commercially without our written permission.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Our products are provided "as is." While we take care to ensure quality, we make no warranties beyond those expressly stated in our product descriptions. We are not liable for incidental or consequential damages arising from product use.

Damage caused by placing a product in direct sunlight, contrary to product instructions and these terms, is expressly excluded from any warranty coverage.

Limitation of Liability

Blue Grub Farms' liability for any claim arising from a product purchase is limited to the purchase price of the item in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Arapahoe County, Colorado.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of our store after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
