A short catalog
We would rather sell a few things that work than a wall of options that mostly don't.

Circular by design
Insect farming turns organic waste you already have into protein and fertilizer, without a feed supply chain.
When BSFL are ready to harvest, they'll do the work for you. The Grub Escape just gives them somewhere to go.
Black Soldier Fly prepupae have a built-in instinct — when they're fat and ready to pupate, they migrate upward and out of the bin on their own. The Grub Escape is a self-harvesting ramp that takes advantage of exactly that. Mount it to your bin, set a collection container underneath, and let them walk themselves right into it. No digging through substrate. No manual sorting. Just a pile of ready-to-harvest larvae waiting for you.
How it works: The ramp fits standard tote-style bins and mounts with the included hardware. As prepupae mature, they climb the ramp and drop into your collection container — a bowl, a bucket, whatever you're using. That's it. The biology does the harvesting.
- Self-harvesting — uses BSFL's natural prepupal migration instinct

- Mounts to standard tote bins — hardware included
- 3D printed in PETG for durability and easy cleaning
- Works as a standalone upgrade or alongside any BGF setup
- Also included in the BSFL Bin Kit — no need to buy separately
What's included: The Grub Escape ramp + all mounting hardware. Made to order in Aurora, Colorado.
Want more eggs going into the bin the ramp harvests out of? Pair it with the Tree of Life oviposition system to boost egg-laying at the front end.
The Grub Escape is included in the BSFL Bin Kit. If you already have a Bin Kit, you're covered.
40× more calcium than mealworms
BSFL have a calcium-to-phosphorus ratio ideal for reptiles, amphibians, and birds — one of the only feeder insects carrying more calcium than phosphorus.
Self-harvesting
When prepupae are ready to pupate, they climb up and out of the bin on their own. You collect them dry and clean.
Two things out of one bin
BSFL eat your kitchen scraps. The frass they leave behind is a rich organic fertilizer for the garden.
An open outdoor system
A BSFL bin lives outside in the shade with wild flies coming and going. Airflow and moisture do most of the work.
